bumpdate//25 weeks

How Far Along: 25 weeks as of January 6th

Size of the Baby: baby is the size of a rutabaga.

Maternity Clothes: I'm all about comfort these days, I will put my maternity jeans on when I go out (which isn't often because we've been sick and its like 6 degrees out) but I mostly hang out in leggings and a baggy shirt.

Stretch marks: nothing new.

Weight gain: yikes...

Sleep: What sleep? Oh, just kidding. Some nights I'm okay but mostly I'm very uncomfortable.

Best Moment of the Week: Kenny was able to feel the baby move for the first time! His eyes got so big and ever since then he knows there is something going on inside his mama. He does give my tummy kisses when I ask him to "give baby brother a kiss". And we hung up the ultra sound picture which he like. "baby mrudder!"

Movement:  He is a strong baby. People notice him moving around now and some times freak out. haha!

Food Cravings: Still all about the PB&J.

Gender: BOY!!! I am so excited that we're having another boy!

Belly Button in or out: Out, Kenny often pokes it through my shirts. hahaha!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not so much. Certain smells do.

Labor Signs: No

Wedding ring on or off: On

What I miss: Sleeping on my tummy. Or having Kenny snuggle with me. He can't get comfortable around my bump and it frustrates him.

What I am looking forward to: Putting the nursery together, buying a few new items, and setting out newborn diapers. I cannot wait!

Nursery: He will be in with us for a little while, I'm trying to figure out where his corner will be. Then we will move him into Kenny's room as soon as he is sleeping a good portion of the night.

Emotions: I'm am feeling happy! I love that it is a new year and we are excited for our little man to join the family!

9/9/12

so guess what...

i miss blogging. a lot. like a lot a lot.

there are so many things i love about blogging. i love the support group i have gained with other mama bloggers. i love the friendships i have developed with women all over the world. i miss getting advice and encouraging comments on my posts. after much thought, prayer and listing the pros and cons i've finally decided that i actually do want to share with you what is going on over in the swenson home. don't worry. its good news!

we are so happy to announce that baby # 2 will be joining our little family sometime in april!!

i wasn't planning to announce our good news until next month (you know, after the first trimester was over) but i'm so beyond excited. besides there have been a few people who know about our baby #2 who have a harder time not spilling the beans. and if i'm to be honest...so do i! haha!

can i just say that morning sickness is kicking my butt. i lost a little over 6 pounds in less than a week (i haven't been weighed recently so i'm not sure if i've lost more or {hopefully} gained). when i was pregnant with Kenny i lost 17 pounds in my first trimester. i didn't get sick with him until i was about 9 weeks pregnant but with this baby i started feeling crazy sick at 5 weeks. its been very rough, especially when i have an 18 month old who still requires a lot of attention and needs me to make him food.

we did have a little bleeding scare last week but the ultrasound reported that baby was perfect and doing exactly what he/she is suppose to be doing. doctor said that i don't need to be concerned. as you can see from the ultrasound i'm not very far along. this is what baby looks like right now.

(not my baby but one i found on the internet)

i pretty much spend my days with my head in the toilet bowl, laying on the couch, reading "Are You My Mother" to Kenny a hundred times a day, and literally forcing myself to eat and drink. finding the foods that don't make me sick has been quite the chore. i hate it.

i am so looking forward to the second trimester...actually i would love to fast forward to 20 weeks (that's when we find out the gender) and then again to the week before i give birth. i absolutely loved labor and i can't wait to have that incredible experience again!

there's our big news! i know it's not as common to announce pregnancy this early, people fear miscarriage or something going wrong. i decided that if something horrible happened i will definitely need all the support i can get from my friends and family. we're praying that i will have healthy and smooth pregnancy though!

i hope you all have a lovely Sunday evening! mick made a roast and i am praying that i can eat it! it does smell good...that's a good sign right?

xoxo
