as we should be, it is the most important meal of the day after all!
our very favorite...
OATMEAL
mama eats: oats, honey, craisins, & almonds (sometimes with cream)
boy eats: oats, honey, & peanut butter
i was going to put it in one of our nice bowls to share with you but, that's just not how we do it over here.
we're all about plastic. HA! just keepin' it real!
Recipe for Mama:
1/3 cup of oats
enough water to make the top layer of oats float
heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds
add a handful of craisins, almonds, a tablespoon of honey and a little cream.
Recipe for Baby (OVER a year old):
1/3 cup of oats
enough water to make the top layer of oats float
heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds
1 tablespoon of peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of honey
Kenny prefers a view while he eats.
I hate oatmeal, but that looks good enough to give it another try!

ReplyDeleteHere's a fun short cut I use for my Sweet G : before you add hot water to quick oats, toss some frozen berries in. Add a little less water than you normally would. The hot water thaws the berries and the berries cool the oatmeal. Faster oatmeal!
