9/9/12

so guess what...

i miss blogging. a lot. like a lot a lot.

there are so many things i love about blogging. i love the support group i have gained with other mama bloggers. i love the friendships i have developed with women all over the world. i miss getting advice and encouraging comments on my posts. after much thought, prayer and listing the pros and cons i've finally decided that i actually do want to share with you what is going on over in the swenson home. don't worry. its good news!

we are so happy to announce that baby # 2 will be joining our little family sometime in april!!

i wasn't planning to announce our good news until next month (you know, after the first trimester was over) but i'm so beyond excited. besides there have been a few people who know about our baby #2 who have a harder time not spilling the beans. and if i'm to be honest...so do i! haha!

can i just say that morning sickness is kicking my butt. i lost a little over 6 pounds in less than a week (i haven't been weighed recently so i'm not sure if i've lost more or {hopefully} gained). when i was pregnant with Kenny i lost 17 pounds in my first trimester. i didn't get sick with him until i was about 9 weeks pregnant but with this baby i started feeling crazy sick at 5 weeks. its been very rough, especially when i have an 18 month old who still requires a lot of attention and needs me to make him food.

we did have a little bleeding scare last week but the ultrasound reported that baby was perfect and doing exactly what he/she is suppose to be doing. doctor said that i don't need to be concerned. as you can see from the ultrasound i'm not very far along. this is what baby looks like right now.

(not my baby but one i found on the internet)

i pretty much spend my days with my head in the toilet bowl, laying on the couch, reading "Are You My Mother" to Kenny a hundred times a day, and literally forcing myself to eat and drink. finding the foods that don't make me sick has been quite the chore. i hate it.

i am so looking forward to the second trimester...actually i would love to fast forward to 20 weeks (that's when we find out the gender) and then again to the week before i give birth. i absolutely loved labor and i can't wait to have that incredible experience again!

there's our big news! i know it's not as common to announce pregnancy this early, people fear miscarriage or something going wrong. i decided that if something horrible happened i will definitely need all the support i can get from my friends and family. we're praying that i will have healthy and smooth pregnancy though!

i hope you all have a lovely Sunday evening! mick made a roast and i am praying that i can eat it! it does smell good...that's a good sign right?

xoxo

  4. Yay for new babies!! I was less sick with my second pregnancy, but I wonder if having a boy this time has made it easier. A lot of people say girls make you sicker. . . who knows! My daughter is very good at sign language because all I could do for 6 weeks was lay on the couch and play Baby Signing Time over and over. Hope you enjoy your dinner tonight!
